Batman would want to know if Superman with all his power would use it for bad intentions, so he would care and want to know who he is.
Batman would think reasonably and take consideration of the beneficial things Superman has done too like idk, helping the military destroy Zod's terraforming machine, or saving people around the world, but it is totally absent in this movie.
We all know the truth of why Batman does not really investigate Clark or acknowledge the good Superman has done is because his motivation was for the battle is so freaking weak to start with Snyder made Batman deliberately dumb for this movie he is never allowed to show any real signs of intelligence. Ok you can say that he wouldn't investigate Superman life as a civilian (despite it may reveal a unknown weakness) but how about not even investigating the court bombing? One of your employee's who is crippled carries out a terrorist attack and you are not interested where he got the explosives or knowledge to make the bomb and ability to actually do so? What if those explosives were actually taken from your own corporation as we know that Wayne Enterprises is involved in at least some weapon manufacturing. Even if Bruce was not Batman this is something that you would think he would have investigated either himself or by his employees just as a basic responsibility as the owner, but no its totally ignored because it would have exposed Lex involvement and this weak ass story would just have unravelled and we wouldn't have had a clash between Batman and Superman.
Other obviously blatant moments exist throughout the movie as well. Like Superman standing around having a conversation with Lex while Doomsday is being completed LMFAO.
To make a great film you need three things - the script, the script and the script -Alfred Hitchcock
