Dang, I see to many fans shipping Kara and Lena.
They doesn't respect that Kara is Alex sister at all. I don't mind Lena and Kara though they have chemistry. More than anyone on the show.
What do you think? -

There is something there.
Whether its the work of the actors, directors or producers is open to debate.
The bottom line is nothing will come of it because of the Alex and Maggie relationship.
However, there's still room for an unspoken deep bond between the two with actions, glances and dialog suggesting they could be more than friends, even if Lena turns out to be the villain I believe she is. -

I can't see Kara and Lena ever getting together in this show 'cause they already have Alex with Maggie and the homophobes would chuck a massive tantrum over it on the internet but I would like to see them become best friends throughout the rest of the show 'cause it would be stupid and predictable just to have Lena become a villain 'cause her brother was.
Not every sister or brother of a psychopath is one too.

I think that Lena has a super crush on either Kara or Supergirl (or both, who knows, maybe she's figured it out) but Kara has no idea and isn't into her like that. I don't ship them but it seems obvious even to me who is usually clueless about that sort of thing.

I don't know why, but I just don't see it with Lena and Kara! I feel like people posting memes about it are making it look like there is more going on but within the actual show itself, I don't see it. I see a mutual admiration, perhaps? And Lena with Supergirl- could be a wee bit of her being somewhat star struck at first? Who knows, but I don't get the romance vibe at all. Maybe I don't see it because I just don't want it to be so! I don't know who I see Kara with romantically, but I just don't see it with Lena.

They have Lena give Kara unrestricted access to her office which no CEO would ever do for someone they just met. I thought she made potstickers, Kara's favorite, at a gala which also is never done. And Katie McGraph certainly gives off a flirty vibe around Supergirl intentional or not.
So to me, the writers and the Lena actress have definitely been leading us on.
I think though it's the same as what Once upon a time did with Emma and the Evil Queen - there was definite lesbian subtext purposely put there by the writers/actors but they had zero intention of following through with it.
Two lesbian couples just isn't gonna happen. Just look at the homophobes complaining about just Alex alone. Americans just can't take 2 lesbian couples in one show on network tv yet (only cable). -

I do see your points about Kara and Lena. I still don't buy in to it. But I can see how people do. And you're right- there's no way they'd have a second lesbian couple on this show, for many reasons. No one would believe it because Kara has shown interest in several men and only men- and the backlash would be pretty severe, worse than it was for Alex I presume. People don't understand the fluidity of sexuality for some, so I don't think it would go over well at all. Sad though, shows should be able to have as many gay couples, straight couples- whatever the algorithm is- that they want to have.

Sorry I don't get what Kara and Alex being sister's has to do with it? I don't like it because Kara is not gay/lesbian. Kara and Lena only have FRIENDSHIP chemistry. She has the most chemistry with Mon-El, especially romantic chemistry. It seems like mostly lesbian girls wanting Kara and Lena. I am much more realistic, even though it's a tv show about an alien. Still it's a fantasy that some lesbian girls seem to have. They are JUST friends. Sometimes it's just two girls that are GOOD friends. Best friends. Close friends, Lena has no friends really because of her name, and Kara is nice. That is all. Yes, just friendship and mutual admiration. That doesn't mean romantic attraction. No, I don't see it and not just because I don't want to see it either. She has shown interest in only guys, Kara. We don't know anything about Lena in that way. Sometimes there are straight girls that are only good friends. People want to make more out of because some might be gay or bi. Kara said she wasn't gay in the pilot. Seemed pretty true. Not like Alex who didn't really know.

While I personally would kill to see Lena and Kara together because I think they'd make an absolutely adorable couple, I don't think it's right for the show. Not because of the Alex/Maggie stuff (god knows there can be more than one lesbian couple in a city) but because I think it would work so much better for the series if Kara and Lena were just really good friends.
Looking to Smallville for an example Clark and Lex were quite close for a while and there were enormous amounts of entertainment and drama every time they fell out and made up. Trust issues and hurt feelings abound in the drama between them, and the good times (where they're getting along) are just as rewarding as a good romantic relationship (imo, anyway). It doesn't have to be a romantic relationship to be meaningful.
In that line of thinking, I personally think its best if they just continued to be friends, and that they bond even more and become really close and I hope to god they don't make Lena evil. Too many evil Luthors let Lena be good! Kara needs another ally now that Cat is gone. Plus Katie and Melissa have great onscreen chemistry
As for Kara/Alex shipping I hate it. They aren't biologically related, of course, but they are far closer than most biological sisters would ever be. They love each other deeply AS FAMILY and they clearly consider themselves sisters (we're beaten over the head with the words "my sister" after all). I think its a bit morally wrong to ship them considering they've made it ridiculously clear how their feelings are, but that's my opinion. Considering there are people who ship Sam and Dean Winchester (who are biological brothers) from Supernatural I don't think those ships will ever disappear lol
