Ah! Alas it only performed averagely at the box office and even less well critically. But I thought the film was good and I liked it.

because when the studio execs gave it the nod, the producer thought it was the axe nod, not the sequel nod that the studio actually meant, so no sequel.

It would have been lucky to get back its costs, so yeah, no sequel.
