It's all because of Lexa Doig, Oliver's action scene and him wearing the costume for the first time. This time I didn't fast forward!
Anyone got Selene (Kate Beckinsale) vibe from Lexa's accent, black leather and performance?

I agree 100%. Lexa is a total scene stealer and has the potential to become the female equivalent of Manu Bennett/Slade Wilson in season 1. Perfect casting, IMO.

Totally agree! It was nice to finally have a good flashback. I'm actually looking forward to more of them now

But wasn't the "hood" from his teacher? The first guy he met on the island and it held a special significance to Oliver, so ,u have that when he got his new suit from Barry, Felicity made sure it was the same hood?

Yes. It was Yao Fe's hood. Yes, Yao Fe was his first teacher, but Yao Fe was also Talia's student way back whenever. She's done her homework. She's tracked Oliver's journey. That's how she has the hood.

Couldn't agree more! Just finished the episode and loved Lexa in the flashback. I usually fast forward them, since the Hong Kong arc, but tonight was better than most. Hope to see more of Lexa as Talia, both in flashback and in present Arrowverse.

Andromeda and Rhade, nice to see you again.
I always like seeing the cast of Andromeda.

Totally agree! Flashbacks in the recent episode with Oliver Queen and Talia were overwhelmingly good.
                    Nolan, I love you forever!

                      Yup, the flashback was brilliant!
And I LOVED seeing Oliver wear the suit for the first time. I've always wondered when and how Oliver first chose to adopt the persona of the Hood and its finally paid off.
Remember that scene in the pilot where Oliver looks in the mirror and sees himself as the Hood. Now we know where that fractured psyche comes from - its a way for Oliver to get through his PTSD and be 'Oliver Queen' again, a distinct figure from the killer he's become.

I don't know but it's clear it's the same accent that her sister, i love it.
It didn't take long for me to love Katrina Law but i've discovered her with the show, like a lot of people here i already knew Lexa Doig with Andromeda and Continuum and i was so thrilled to hear she got the role.
Now i want to see Nyssa and Talia together, it would be a waste if not.

that show could have been so much better. Sigh
Ah well, Doig was still great in it.

                            That was a great Flashback.
                            Fantastic fight.
                            Good plot movement.
                            Good arc movement.
                            And she was a badass.
Still not sure why she's there or what her deal is, but I'll be curious to see.

The best thing about it, and the only good thing about the episode, was Oliver's gunfight scene. Probably the best choreographed fight scene to date on this show (as far as I can remember anyway).
