Riddler Deleted Scene

I've heard about a deleted bit during the "Show me how to punch a guy" Scene, Where Riddler killed the guard that he attemped to punch by beating him to death with his cane. Is it true & Why was it deleted for? I think that would have made riddler a slightly darker character.

Hi the reason is because WB wanted the film more lighter they had done a lot of re shot's which you can tell the Deleted Scene's on the Special Edition DVD/Blu-Ray are only an hand full of what was Deleted their are still tons more that have yet to see the light of day including original version's of scene's that they redid to make them lighter.

From what I saw, the scene went on WAY too long: Riddler punches the guard and nothing happens. Two-Face mocks him, saying "Riddler, you punch like a tiny schoolgirl!", then punches the guard, knocking him down. The crooks then move to another guard, Riddler starts doing the Ali Shuffle and punches the new guard. As with the other, nothing happens. Two-Face, in frustration, yells "We give up!" and walks away leaving a stunned Riddler. The beating with the cane sounds like it would be just as silly.
Annoying the world since 1960!
