That is probably the worst match up ever! They're good for each otherbut as friends! They motivate each other and have each other's back unconditionally but that doesn't mean that romance has to be involved!
They're too hardcore and bad as* for that! I'm sure they could find a significant other to complete them but not each other!
I can already see it now.they're going to get together in some sort adrenaline-rushed, crazy relationship where it's always about one saving the other and then it'll end in one of them dying and then the other becomes weak and mopey because they're grieving and that's bad for the entire team!
May is my favorite and while I would like for her to settle down a bit I just can't see it with Coulson. I hate that they didn't keep her husband around, he would've been perfect for her. And if they kill her off I'd be pissed!
Coulson has been annoying lately but he's still pivotal to the show! It might could have worked if he was still the sweet, slightly nerdy fanboy from Avengers but he has transformed greatly. He's no match for May.

You're assuming that they will hook up once May is rescued. I doubt that, especially going by this show's record. There will be complications, for sure, and there's no reason to assume that May will decide to start a romantic relationship with Coulson.
Yes, Radcliffe did say that the real May has been having feelings of romantic desires for Coulson, but feeling something =/= acting on it. Especially for someone like May, who is pretty emotionally closed off most of the time, and focused on her work. Not to mention that her relationship history might make her even less open to starting a romantic relationship, since she's had some really disastrous experiences that have shown that mixing personal and professional can be dangerous. And there's also the fact that Andrew died something like half a year ago, and I don't think she's likely to be over him, since this was the great love of her life for so many years. There are lots of reasons why she may be wary of starting a new relationship in general, especially with a close friend and co-worker, because it could wreck the relationship they have had, and also make them both act unprofessionally.

I don't see what the big deal is? They've been friends for years and they're both sad and lonely. They get each other. Sometimes friends do get together after being platonic for years. It's not unrealistic, especially considering neither of them has the lifestyle for meeting other people.
I liked Andrew too, but they killed him off and I don't want May to be lonely. Let's face it, who else but Coulson could possibly understand her or get her needs at this point? She's never going to trust somebody new.
Also, I think they have chemistry. I don't see why it's bad if they get together? It's not like May is every going to be a sentimental sap. Give the girl some happiness.

We've been platonic for years now. And we disagree/agree so much, it could get interesting. Make-up sex is fun, and so is a nice hate-f^ck. Giggling and hoping you take it as lighthearted humor. 😉

A lot of times, good friends get together because they think they're perfect for each other and end up not ruining a relationship but a friendship as well.
Being alone is no reason to get together and there is absolutely no sort of romantic chemistry between the 2. Not the characters or the actors themselves. I feel like they're trying to force it because they've destroyed all the other relationships on the show.
Mack and Yo-yo already take the cake with the complicated relationship arc and Firz and Simmons are cute but they're trying too hard.
