X-Men Dark Phoenix really isn't that bad

I trashed it after watching it at the theaters but now that i've watched it again on 4k bluray I can say it's basically a great story with a few flaws that keep it from being totally enjoyable. Like, Quicksilvers role was underplayed and he only had 2 lines, what could have been a classic slow motion "Quicksilver saves the day" bit was immediately aborted at inception just to show that Phoenix was more powerful. Sansa Starks acting was atrocious, but her boobs were good, as evidenced by the many many times they zoomed in on them! The pale chick from interstellar was terrible as well and the Hair Whip guy was a bad joke in a movie with a seriously dark plot.
The he said/she said aspect of the underlying "what did Xavier do?" plot was well played out as he was ultimately banned from the X-Men as they blamed him for all their problems and the scheming Beast took over, yet just like in Last Stand the ending provided hope that the old ******* Magneto and Xavier might see better days yet as they reunited once more as Magneto offered to take in and save a bitter Xavier, who had probably always acted in good faith to protect Sansa against the unruly Northern lords who wanted her head.
I'm going to revise my rating from 5/10 to 8/10 now.
Flawless victory. Another one for the good guys. -

The only money exchanging hands was me paying Best Buy $39 for the 4k Steelbook. I'd give it a 10/10 if they want to reimburse me for it and throw in a copy of the Batman collection 4k steelbook though!

Thats what i said from the beginning. A lot of the action sequences were good too, like the entire train scenario and the fight outside the house culminating in Jean forcing Xavier to walk up the stairs. It wasnt the bomb many people made it out to be. First Class and Days of Future Past are still my personal favorites however.
Hey Diddler, Diddler….the cat and the fiddler LOL -

Agreed. It's got some faults, mostly in the character department, but fundamentally it's a great story that was simply overshadowed by bigger releases like Avengers Endgame. It certainly didn't have any kind of epic feel to it, but it closes out the series nicely by taking the future of the x-men out of Xaviers hands and putting it on the more ironically human Beast.
Xavier really did seem like a bitter **** at the end.
Flawless victory. Another one for the good guys.
