I realize that Stirling is not trained in ballet, but
it appears she has some dancing background.
She definitely was
not trained en pointe.
She stated that she "learned how to dance
en pointe
exclusively for this video" because the director wanted her, as
the
singer, to do it.
I applaud her gumption, but individuals train
consistently
, and
very hard
, usually for
at least nine to ten years before ever being fitted for pointe shoes
. She's cute as a button and I love her style, and I enjoy the song as well as the vintage vibe here, but I cringe when I see her
en pointe
when there's at least
two
times, she looks like she's about to risk a lateral tear or break a bone in her foot.
She did it, but yeeesh, this was not wise. Otherwise, it's a cute video.
