I don't have to see any of the others because none of them even sound like something I would be interested in.
I'm not putting you or anyone else down if you would like them, so don't work yourself into a lather.
The only reason I replied to this is because I do like the original TCP, and I'm trying to imagine it as a musical. I'm somewhat curious.

Wrong. You didn't say you prefer to see any of these movies. You said you prefer the original Color Purple over the new one, even though you haven't seen it, which is impossible.

This is just another of many poles here.
Let us go over this step by step. If I am confused, I certainly want to get this resolved.
I was given a choice. If I had to see one of the movies on that list on Christmas day, which would it be?
You seem to be upset that I haven't seen any of them yet, so how could I possibly know if The Color Purple is good?
Nobody had seen it yet, since it premiered on Christmas day.
The poll didn't specify whether any of us had already seen it. I was simply stating that out of all of the choices, that is the one that I would possibly be curious to see, even though I prefer the original over a musical version of it.
