Is it racist to consider an entire race ‘not your type?’

I think this is quite an interesting topic. For example, I personally find some black women very attractive, but it’s always ones mixed race. Properly African women, ie the ones straight out of the jungle, never look attractive to me.
Does that make me racist or is it just personal preference?

I was working at Macy's and a family came buy with a strong-sounding man. I thought they were just Middle Eastern, but they were very Black, maybe not from the US.

I guess it depends on why you don't consider them your type. If you think they're inferior because of their race, that's racist. If you just don't find their typical characteristics attractive, that's just personal preference.
I don't find black women with afros or East Africans, like Somalis and Ethiopians, attractive at all.

I find Somali people very attractive, Ethiopians as well. It's a somewhat mixed look akin to Cushitic and Egyptian.

I don't. That lady does nothing for me. She has typical East African eyes, nose and lips. I couldn't tell you why I find them unattractive, I just do.

Of course it all comes down to personal taste. But Somalis do not look at all like Kenyans and other East Africans. I personally find them more attractive than West Africans.
Another Somali model. The women are sought after by Western media.

The other point worth making here is that race is a spectrum. There are bound to be people within any given race that I would find attractive. The purist answer to the question, then, is all races have attractive people, so it's wrong to say an entire race can be unattractive. However, I think we're supposed to consider the question in a general sense.
What race is Candace Owens? If you tell me she's East African I'm going to have to change my answer.

I think you hit the point. There are attractive people of all races.
My preference is South Asian or Latino.

It's not racist. It's personal preference.
It's not an anti black thing either.
..don't forget Ethiopians are heavily pressured to marry within their own "race". They are shunned upon if they marry outside of it. Even if they marry a white or other..etc.
So there's nothing wrong with Scandinavian people rejecting non Scandinavians with it comes down to dating/marriage.
