Anne Frank - Remembering Frankfurt's most famous daughter
The diary written by Anne Frank remains a unique testimony to the horrors of the Nazi dictatorship.
In Frankfurt, her memory will be honoured with events over five days in June.

In 2017, the

and the City of Frankfurt, launched the Anne Frank Days.
They take place annually on or around June 12, Anne Frank's birthday.
"80 years after the liberation of the concentration and extermination camps, there are hardly any people left who can testify firsthand about the Nazi reign of terror,"

On June 11, a panel discussion titled

will happen at the DGB Building. On June 12, starting at 16.00 p.m., young people from the
Bettina School
will host a poetry slam featuring their own texts on the forecourt of the Jewish Museum. In the evening, Claude Kozminski, a Holocaust survivor and contemporary witness, will be a guest at the Stadthaus am Markt.
One day later on June 13, the music school's student big band will explore how Frankfurt's young people experienced the Third Reich:

Anne Frank Secondary School visits the Town Hall
Today (June 2), class 6a of the Anne Frank Secondary School visited Ahaus Town Hall.
25 students, accompanied by their teacher Simone Erdwick, first learned about the administration's responsibilities in the council chamber and also had many questions about political work before heading to the mayor's office. There, Karola Voß presented the mayor's chain and the Golden Book of the City of Ahaus. The group showed great interest and enjoyed an exciting morning at the town hall.

Freedom calls - Anne Frank School in Meppen celebrates 2025 Graduation
Under the motto
"10 years of innocent imprisonment - now freedom calls,"
the Anne Frank School's graduation ceremony took place on June 26, 2025. The day began with a Liturgy of the Word at St. Mary of Peace Church. Father Benny, who also celebrated his farewell from the school with this service, and Pastor Held encouraged the students to utilize and protect the freedom that await them after graduation.
Class 10Ra of the Anne Frank School received their final certificates.
At the certificate ceremony, Benjamin Shi (10Ra), Laura Gisbrecht (10b) and Anna Klaus (10a)
were named top students in their year.
The program was rounded out by many creative performances from the students.
Hamzah Al Habashi, Hasaf Acar and Leona Beyer summarized their school days in a rap, a group of students presented the audience a reworking of the ballet Swan Lake, and a group from 10a demonstrated their exceptional dance talent to a medley.

As for this thread, well - as has been stated as often as I can - this is about child mutilation of their sexual organs and how common and casual it was for that to be promoted and sanctioned by governments, in particular the German government.
I'm not expecting you to be Immanuel Kant or Max Weber on the matter but it would seem that forced fundamental alterations to someone's physiology could be considered a bad thing. As one of these fundamental parts is to do with their sex, both natural and imagined, I felt that this was the best part of the forum for such discussion.
You, without ever disclosing why, seem to think that's inappropriate. And have given nothing but remedial ramblings about what identity is and how children should be protected but prepared for life.
I am going simpler than that again. It is wrong to torture another human being. It is further wrong to not only allow it but to somehow think it useful.
