Has anyone else on here seen this movie ? The ending happened quite quickly, and I have some questions (Spoilers)
What happened to the gay guy that Frankie's buddies chased into the water, robbed, and beat up ? Did he survive, or did he die ? It seemed that the following day, Frankie returned to the place where it happened. Did anyone notice, was the guy's car still parked there ? Then afterwards, on his computer, Frankie appeared shaken up and distraught. Was he trying to locate the guy and find out what had become of him ? Or was he clearing the 'Brooklyn Boys' webcam porn site off of his computer ? Any help with understanding the ending would be appreciated. -

As with most films, these type of questions evoke answers that are judgments or opinions as the script was not perfectly clear. Up to audience to fill in thoughts/ideas. But here goes:
- the gay man who got rolled probably went home afterwards and tended to his injuries. There was no inidcation of a body or police presence, so while the fear of this gay-bashing may have led to a killing, it's probably not the case. Some have said the episode was a "reinactment" of a true-life murder of similar circumstances several years ago, and some reviewers say Frankie's friends "left him for dead", but that doesn't mean he was dead. Frankie's return to the scene and seeing no evidence of the man is to show Frankie's own sense of guilt as well as compassion. Also, if it were a murder, that changes the ENTIRE dynmamic of the film, and I don't think that is the case or would be good.
- the ending is a bit unclear. Frankie's mother had clearly assumed his being gay when she nearly begged him to come out to her. She was on a mission to find out. When she put her cigarette out and looked at his computer, I think she logged in and discovered the Brooklyn Boys site and Frankie's doings. I also think she was the one who cleared his computer of the site. That's why, when Frankie went back to his computer and saw the site gone, his reaction was a combination of anger, horror, fear, and suspicion.
