The non-binary star of 'The Last Of Us' has previously shared their hope for gender neutral awards categories
The Emmy Awards have been criticised after nominating Bella Ramsey for Best Actress at this year’s awards.
The star of The Last Of Us is non-binary, and has recently shared their hope for gender-neutral categories at award ceremonies.
The 19-year-old has been nominated for the award alongside alongside Sarah Snook (Succession), Sharon Horgan (Bad Sisters), Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Melanie Lynskey (Yellowjackets) and Keri Russell (The Diplomat) at the 2023 Emmys, and many have shared their dislike of the choice, owing to Ramsey’s gender-fluid identity, which they revealed earlier this year.
“‘best actress’ for an openly nonbinary person who wore a binder the entire filming hahahahaha sick,” one wrote on social media.
Another added: “Award shows need more inclusive categories for people with gender-expansive identities.”
Wow, it's like a minefield! It's stuff that would never even cross my mind. So is it offensive that Bella Ramsey is nominated as best actress? Like, if she is the only gender neutral actor nominated then it kind of takes away the competition somewhat ..

They'll have to have just 1 best actor category for everyone or 81 different best actor categories to for all the genders! -

i'm stuck in the last century where this **** was only still germinating in petri dishes in social science seminars and the average person neither knew about it or if known didnt care one stinking bit.
so she defines herself as "fluid" but she was born a female; or is she a sex-change thingy who also ids with "fluidity"? if it's the first then she's ok as best actress nomination because unless she starts her little surgery and hormone replacement garbage, she's a natural born female.
if she's a guy turned female, then the whole damned awards' season system is turned upside down and out of order! -

She looks NOTHING like the kid in the game…they used DEI to get some ass ugly mentally ill freak to play the part. The only thing she has going for her is her attitude, but you can't get past that having to stare at her hybrid rodent/fetal alcohol syndrome looks.
VLAD LOVES UNDERAGE BOYS JUST LIKE HIS DADDY USED TO.
