Why don't they make shows like this anymore?

This show was full of so bad it's good acting and writing and it was a big part of the 90s/2000s kids' watching experience…It may have been corny at times but it was so much better than the kind of programming that followed in later years, the Schneider shows…man those series were worse for a developing brain than spongebob could ever be, and only recently (I think) have come to an end following all the revelations regarding Dan Schneider. I just don't know why shows like this in particular, spooky kids programming, have seemed to completely fade away…no spooky kids anymore?
