    I'm sure I'm not the only person to have noticed glaring architectural similarities between the two houses. Look at the central columns, they are almost identical.
    P.S The Bates Motel set has been demolished. Here is a link for further information:

        When I see Susan Norton kind of climb/walking up to the Marston house, I think of Lila Crane doing that as she goes up to the Bates house. Very similar scenes.

          grabs the doctor and impales him
          has an overhead shot just like the scene in
          Psycho
          where "Mother" stabs the private investigator.
