I believe he was molesting those boys and was a definite pedophile, but I also think Michael didn’t see it as molestation, and saw it as love. Because of his power as a celebrity, he thought he could live by his own rules and moral code, so in his mind he was not hurting these boys but allowing them to be romanced by their idol. You have to enter his warped frame of mind to truly understand it. When he said he was not guilty, it’s because he truly believed he did nothing wrong.
