I think this is the first time I've seen this film (so far it feels like the bastard child of Animaniacs and an Aladdin/Iago fanfic), but I'm having dja vu with Abis Mal. Was he in the TV series or something, or is it just me?

Never mind, he was in the series, plus he reminds me of Al from Toy Story 2 in appearance and is probably the same voice actor.

Never mind, he was in the series, plus he remind me of Al from Toy Story 2 in appearance and is probably the same voice actor.
Jason Alexander voiced Abis Mal, while Al from Toy Story 2 was voiced by Wayne Knight. Those two have always seemed similar to me as well so I can see why you would think it was the same voice.

He was voiced by Jason Alexander who plays George Costanza on Seinfeld.

It was cool that he also returned to voice one of the gargoyles in The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
