It hasn't aged well and I'm assuming probably didn't seem that good at the time. Sophia Loren mugs beautifully and the cinematography tries to be zany but it's an awkward effort overall.
The long gone Crumlin Viaduct amongst the green Welsh hillsides adds a tiny bit of nostalgic interest if you know the area. There is shaky (8mm?) footage on YouTube of Peck and Loren being gracious at the location with the Stars private caravans the tiny little semi-rounded type once common in the UK.
I have always depended on the kindness of Strangers - and the bastards let me down!
