Contacts are OK because they're permanent.
BPA plastic can be ok as long as it remains a permanent fixture.
The one-time-use plastic needs to go - the plastic bags at the supermarket, food packaging, water bottles. And recycling needs to be mandatory.

Honestly I kinda like the idea of having kids learn martial arts or lift weights or some other vehicle for satiating the competitive drive for dominating one another that fuels bullying. That way, they can learn to respect one another through a controlled and relatively safe practice as opposed to the way it is now, which amounts to a policy of avoiding the problem.
Bullying is human nature. It’s rooted in competitiveness and lack of mutual respect. It becomes more subtle with time but it never really goes away, especially for those of us who aren’t emotionally mature.
Stop.
