To expand on this, do you think originality should be part of the criteria used to rate games, or should they be taken in a vaccuum? God of War is a knock-off of Devil May Cry is a knock-off of Onimusha. GTA3 was a solid 9 and a groundbreaking sandbox game. Vice City was GTA3 perfected, but by the time San Andreas dropped it was just paint by numbers GTA. It's just Vice City with a bigger map and a ghetto theme. How many times are they allowed to repeat this exact process before we're not impressed?

The era of Amazon is when it hits you that reviews can't be trusted. We've all bought some cheapo product off there and then gotten the email from the company offering a gift card if you review it. Obviously you're not going to give it one star and call it a piece of **** and then expect your money. They're paying for the review. Why doesn't this also apply to big name reviewers who probably receive copies of the games and swag for free?
Every game is ****. I'm voting MAGA.

The whole review business relies on getting copies of games early from developers so that they can get their review up quickly while there is still hype to maximize clicks. That's why even the ****tiest of the **** games, like The Last of Us, gets rave reviews.
