One of mine was the day I was supposed to start nursery.
I remember being in the car with my parents and bald auntie and as they drove into the nursery carpark I threw a fannywobble bc I didn't want to go. I even went as far as climbing into to the boot by that little opening thru the backseat
I must've been about 3ish.
Crazy how we can remember so far back as adults. -

Reggie Jackson's 3 Home Run game in the World Series. I was only 6 months old but I swear I heard Howard Cosell's legendary call and him reporting John Lennon's death live on ABC..

More of a collection of memories and not sure which is the earliest. I remember my 3rd birthday. I remember being in a stroller and very uncomfortable, and worried I was gonna fall through. I remember my mom holding me like a baby at a kitchen table at my grandparents'. I remember playing under the tables during a crawfish boil. I remember my mom pushing me on the swing at the park and seeing my reflection in her glassesm Some other things too.
I know I can remember at least as far back as a little before 3 years old. I think my memories got a lot stronger and more frequent at 4.
I also have some bad memories I'd rather not discuss in this thread. -

I was lying in the garden, shortly after my fifth birthday. It was summer, and I looked at my foot, which appeared very strange against the blue sky with its fluffy clouds. I wondered if I would ever remember it.
A few days later, we went to our local cinema and watched Disney's
Snow White
(1937).

P.S.
With those Nazi-stories everybody should be very careful.
A pretty well known actor back then got busted with it.
He told a dramatic story about the end of WWII and how he was in the Hitlerjugend then.
Our father only asked
'Born when?'

You just reminded me of one christmas when my dad got me an electric motorbike.
The battery was crap so he put his bike battery on it
That sounds like close to the Darwin Award.
More details, please!

It was one crisp, winter christmas morning and there was fresh ice and snow on the ground.. "Pull the handle back!", Fart's father shouted, as she balanced the bike on her tippy toes..
nah **** that
But basically, it wouldn't move and when it did there was no umph there so he switched it to his kawazaki battery and the thing flew like **** off a stick -

Ohhhhhh, our mother was right.
It takes much luck to raise children and keep them alive.
Clearly Darwin Award!
…and good that you survived it.
An adult was not that lucky.
Moment, moment…where is it?!
Oh, I just learned that this was a myth.
JATO Rocket Car
The JATO Rocket Car was one of the original Darwin Awards winners: a man who supposedly spectacularly met his death after mounting a JATO unit (a rocket engine used to help heavy aircraft to take off) onto an ordinary automobile. It was originally circulated as a forwarded email. In 1996, after numerous inquiries, the Arizona Department of Public Safety issued a news release posted on their website concerning the story. It was termed
"an Arizona myth".
It was also debunked in 2003 on the pilot episode of MythBusters, titled
"Jet Assisted Chevy"
