And by soon I mean at least 8 weeks away but still. Terrifying. At least I can encourage my son to help my imaginary daughter to get them now

I really need to get over this fear I have of them but I just feel it in my bones that there is nothing that would make me hold a spider. Not meds, therapy, nothing.
Nothing.
And the spider catcher things are useless. Why can't they invent some kinda flying machine that shoots a net at them where you don't even need to be in the same room. Why the **** don't spider sensors exist anyway? It's 2025 fgs. Invent something that senses and zaps them already, I beg of you. -

I'd never sleep
No. Some spider isn't gonna make me feel sorry for it. We are all in the same boat. At least she has 8 hands to do multiple things at once.
I watch them now and then and they don't bother me bc i know they are on the tv
R u actually insane -

you're the one with the one dimensional irrational fear
so you need to expose yourself to more variations on a theme
then you can begin the process of reframing it in your mind
since you will not directly interact with spiders, you have to expose yourself to different simulations of that reality (which are completely safe, as are most spiders btw) ie they eat the pests in your home, not you
you have a very unrealistic view and you know it.
but that executive knowledge isn't enough, because your fear is emotional and self-perpetuating (through repetition). so you have to change your internal dialogue.
for example, when your inner voice tells you something is dangerous, make the voice in your head sound ridiculous. that will help muddle the feedback loop. -

I’d rather have spiders around because of the fact that they eat yellow jackets. Our spiders around here are never aggressive towards humans.

They need to invade other places where the females actually are!
