After have seen season 3 episode 4 of Penny Dreadful, I thought : give this woman
all the awards. She's fantastic. Rory is amazing too. their chemistry
Just two characters in a padded room during 50 minutes.
I think all teachers must show this episode to their students.
Do you think, she deserves an Emmy for this episode ? -

She deserved an Emmy for S1 and wasn't nominated!! Since it airs after the consideration cutoff, S3 won't qualify until next year. So any nominations PD gets this year will be for S2 which she should still get an Emmy for.
The problem is with so much good tv and performances competition is tougher, and even tougher for genre shows.
The critics choice awards are much friendlier for genre tv. Eva and the show are always nominated there, and Tatiana Maslany won back to back before she even got an Emmy nomination!!

I just watched the episode again as I'm researching the series and it baffles me how incredible she is as well as the cast as a whole I mean she bares her soul to play this tormented character and all while we don't see or hear as much as a whisper from God while she's the object of satanic apocalyptic love triangle lol. Also how doesn't she not know John Claire from meeting him and vice versa? Wow John Claire amazing amazing actor such depth and honestly the writing is spectacularly presented with such depth. The actor who plays Victor is amazingly cast for that role. Sir Malcom was impeccable ya can't go wrong with the distinguished ex bond actor. Heartnett very well done I'm glad he said FU to Hollywood turning down every superhero they offered him however it took him out the running for projects he could of been great for because his filmography had serious potential anyways this show in order best to worst 1'2'3 it becomes ridiculous right after this Emmy worth epeisode because they didn't spend the time they needed to developing the whole Dracula ending the world in 1 episode and the whole company getting to England finally in the last episode or 2 they really needed 5 seasons 10 episodes each would have been perfect to flesh out the plot points and develop the chrahters more but either way a wonderful piece of material best supernatural take on all of these fictional charchters they managed to combined from folklore and myth and. Not just for supernatural they should of won a writing award anywuas this shows awesome
