What the **** is this broken logic? You cannot just base a whole movie around the stupid contrivance of a guy with amnesia looking like another guy’s dead kid. IT DOESN’T MAKE ANY SENSE. How do they think the kid survived the war? How did he even ****ing get there? The entire town would have to be insane to pretend believe this crap. Worst part it’s a horribly predictable cliche after cliche. Movie takes some potshots at HUAC and name checks the 1st amendment like it was written by an edgy thirteen year old that had to wrap up their creative writing assignment the night before class.
If this wasn’t released in 2001, I would say it’s the type of movie made by an AI algorithm, or aliens with zero understanding of human culture other than a pamphlet brochure about the history of the US.
This movie is like it was written by a retarded 4 year old with cerebral palsy, or maybe a dog. This movie is the equivalent of going in to surgery for a facelift and they remove your kidney. It’s almost DELIBERATELY BAD. This could be called anti-cinema. It’s the cinematic equivalent of going in for a massage and being punched in the nuts. Watching this movie is nothing but confusion and unanswered pain. The way this movie pretends to be a movie is like digging up your loved one’s corpse, stuffing them with cotton wool, and pretending they’re alive.
