Depends on brand. Read ratings carefully. I have 2 soundbars (Samsung) on 2 tv’s ( also Samsung) and very happy. Like them better than former very expensive sound system which lasted only five years.

The sound quality on both mine and my parents' OLED's is actually really good, but nothing can beat a proper surround sound setup.

I personally have a Dolby Atmos setup with ceiling speakers but it's costly. Soundbars are fine if you're on a budget
