I can imagine the filmmakers:
Let's have a girl who is a 10/10 supermodel star in this, but we'll make her a tomboy who likes to talk about cars and sports, and somehow pretend this is a deterent from men being interested in dating her!
In the opening scene, let's establish she's a tomboy without dialogue. She wakes up for work, but no dresses here! She'll put on distressed jeans, a leather jacket, and black boots! Get it? Because that's what guys wear!
Let's make sure to pan over her bedroom to show the sports posters, rock music, and car memorabilia and posters she has! Guy stuff!
Oh let's not stop there. Let's have her drive a motorcycle to work! Because motorcycles are for guys! This shows she is one tough cookie! I wouldn't want to approach her in a dark alley!
Oh, there's more? Let's have her stop off to a basketball court impromptru before work and play a few minutes with the group of men (because stopping off and playing basketball at the park on the way to work is a totally common thing we do), and we'll have her make a few baskets! Because basketball is for men and she is good at sports, like a man!
Let's show her at work, but we'll start with a leg shot under a car, only to reveal that..it's her! I bet you thought it was a guy, didn't you? Nope! It's our tomboy, working on a car! Get it? More guy stuff! These men don't find her attractive, because she's one of the guys!
Let's give her a friend who's a 7 or 8 out of 10, but we'll make her feminine, with blonde hair and pink dresses and valley girl accent, and somehow pretend she is the one who has the man advantage because she's…feminine!
When will our Tomboy start dating and start wearing dresses!
OH BUT WAIT.
She'll do nude scenes, but she can't be a "tomboy" here! No hairy armpits, no upper lip hair, no ugly tattoos across her abdomen. Nothing butch about her pysique She'll still wear eyeliner and makeup. She has to be SEXY LIKE A GIRL here. No masculine stuff here. Let's not get crazy. The extent of her tomboyness has stops at her liking sports and wearing jeans and boots! LOL
