Maybe even two months ago? Been really busy so hadn't really got a chance to give it a good test drive. The last two weekends we checked out some horror flicks…old ones.
Twilight zone…the wraith and last night the original hellraiser.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT what an awesome picture!!!
Like seeing these flicks for the first time!
Watched the new one on it… amazing picture…lousy flick! The wraith was better lol!
Watched the new GOT on it and gotta say…it's filmed way to dark. Thought it was the new site…but loads of folks on line are bitching about the picture quality too.
All in all…nice purchase! -

Your settings are not correct. Default settings are never going to give you the best picture and are more geared towards watching game shows, news programs, etc. I've never seen a tv off the shelf with good brightness or backlight settings, and these generally need to be set for every input.

There's a website that specialises in this, though I wasn't really happy with the end product on my LG OLED

Btw, going slightly off at a tangent, have you found some of HoTD to be inaudible? The UHD HDR showing here doesn't have subtitles, and it's frustrating. Busy scenes are difficult to discern.
Thank you for talking to me -

You know that you don't need to reply to every single topic, mate?
You can barely afford your own sleeping bag, let alone a decent tv. Broke ass, little bitch.

Yeah. My wife always gets mad because she wants the picture to look the way it does in the store, but I always calibrate the TV. I set the one in the bedroom to default settings for her.

I've had my 4k for nearly five years. My pet peeve has been shows of lower quality artificially boosted to 4k and there are many. "You can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear."
My TV is only 43". That's actually at the low end of where the difference between 4k and 1080p is noticeable. You never mentioned the size of yours.
