In answer to your question, I honestly don't know much about my paternal grandfather. I know that he came by ship from Germany in the early 1900s.
He abandoned my grandmother, my father and his two younger siblings when they were quite young.

German (grandpa) and Irish (grandma). I think there is some British on my mom's side, but there are some missing pieces in the genealogy there.
