So I got pulled over for not using my blinker, except I did use my blinker late (and it's on camera).
The cop was like "Why's your license suspended?"
I'm like "WHAT?"
I got a citation and had to have my brother come pick me up.
I got home and looked up my driving record. There's a suspension listed, but it doesn't give a reason. There's no history that would warrant it. The cop was probably confused to - it couldn't have listed a reason on his end.
So I called the license bureau.
IT WAS A GLITCH.
So back in November, I went to the DMV and got a REAL ID nondriver license. This was right around the time they were updating their systems.
For about a week, they only allowed customers if it pertained to plates and stickers. They were not accepting any requests pertaining to license renewal. I get my nondriver ID the first available day they have the new system.
Since my nondriver ID has the same number as my driver's ID, what happened was, it kicked my driver's ID out of the system as if it doesn't exist.
I called the license bureau and they apologized for the error and reinstated it.
For my court date, I have all the proof I need to plead NOT GUILTY. It was a glitch in the system. Hopefully, the judge will dismiss the case right then and I won't have to go to trial.

Wasn't it you who who got a citation for this same violation a month or two ago?
I commented that most states require drivers to initiate their turn signal at least 100 feet
before
the turn.
