Blue HD light on U-Verse receiver blinks

Ok so I had a Samsung led tv in the living room. Our house got broken into and it was stolen. I bought a new one with the insurance money but now the U-Verse receiver is acting funny. After turning off the tv and receiver, the blue hd light blinks. The next day when I turn the tv and receiver back on, I get no picture and the blue hd light still blinks. The tv goes back and forth between 480 resolution and 1080 as the light blinks on and off. Only way to resolve this is to reboot the receiver.
The tv is connected with a hdmi cable btw. Any help or suggestions?
