In one of the most momentous entertainment industry acquisitions of the last 30 years, the Walt Disney Company announced on Tuesday that it is purchasing Lucasfilm in a stock and cash deal valued at $4.05 billion. The sale includes plans for Star Wars: Episode VII, which is in early development, aiming for release in 2015.
Do you think they improved on the prequels? Did things get worse? What were the high points and low points in your opinion?
I think overall it has been a positive since we're getting much more Star Wars products than we would have otherwise. My personal high point is Rogue One. My pick for low point would be the Boba Fett series which seemed completely unnecessary.

Less is more and quality over quantity.
It is getting to be boring and a bit too much.
        I have quit.

It's been a mixed bag. On one hand we have the worst Star Wars film ever made in Rise of Skywalker, but we also have Andor and Rogue One, some of the best Star Wars content ever.
I'm also one of the few people who was very fond of The Last Jedi, but I understand why so many people didn't like what Rian Johnson did in terms of offering a critique on what had come before. I hope he gets to make more SW films though that seems unlikely to happen.
I don't hate on the prequels to the degree that others do, because say what you will about them, they were the personal, eccentric vision of someone doing exactly what he wanted to do with no need or desire to please fans or corporate masters. I have to respect that even with all the horrible, dumb decisions Lucas made when doing them.

i laugh at this post title bc disney ruined the star wars movies. it's too much they give us 3 movies one every 2 years which is too much bc we used to get 1 every 3 years then they give us 2 more in this time outside of the format of 3 in a row main storyline movies. and the movies suck or are not great, the rise of skywalker is pretty bad and the last jedi sucks. they are content with mediocrity as far as these 2 movies. at least the 3 prequels were great 2 of them anyway and at least they cared about making special star wars fan films that mostly pleased the hardcore fans.
and then as if these 5 movies in just 7 years time isn't enough they go and make the mandelorian and anther show?? that is way too much star wars stuff in a little amount of time. this is us overdosing on star wars stuff. this is us collectively burning out from star wars highs just like how they make too many superhero movies by dc and marvel they make too many star wars movies and tv shows nowadays.
the rise of skywalker has way too many spaceship fighting scenes.
