Crusader of Centy and Landstalker are probably my favorite Genesis games or at least my most nostalgic. Even moreso than Sonic or Battletoads.

I never beat Landstalker. On my most recent attempt, last year or so, I got further than ever before. I got past the volcano part, which, according to a guide I watched, is about 3/4 through it.

Portugal never got the Genesis. Portugal got the Mega Drive, which is aimed only to 1st World countries.
Americans, who are too dumb to spell "Mega Drive" due to their usual legendary stupidity, only got the Genesis version which was aimed to the lowest common denominator.
You guys are 50 years old late.

I only didn't recognize the first two
and obviously he misspelled Shining Force.

Batman & Robin (great contra clone - or probotector as it was called here)
Eternal champions not bad either, but Sega CD version is the best.

Gunstar Heroes crushes everything, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage are some of the best beat em ups, Contra Hard Corps gives Gunstar Heroes a run for its money, the Sonic series is better than Mario, Shining Force is great, and ur an fgt.

Shadowrun, Phantasy Star IV and Beavis and Butt-Head.
Those are my favorites native to Genesis, anyhow.
Crusader was cool. I didn't mind Beyond Oasis either.
Then we'll see how he does up there, without all the assistance. -

The Genesis was my secondary console, got it a year after the SNES and never played it as much. So I missed a bunch of games. But these were my favorites:
ToeJam & Earl
Comic Zone
Altered Beast
Lion King
Aladdin
Road Rash
Vectorman
