I do not like hotels for extended stays. If it’s more than 2 days, it’s always a home.
If you can’t say something nice, say something clever but devastating.

Hotels, I’d kinda feel a little bad wiping my dick on someone’s home's curtains

I prefer an Airbnb studio with a kitchen over a hotel so then I don't always have to eat out.

We mostly do breakfast at the rental home. A lot of other advantages.

Yes I prefer to eat my breakfast before heading out to explore. Saves the hassle of trying to find somewhere and I don't function very well in the mornings until I have had breakfast 😂

Me too! I have to have breakfast after I roll out of bed.

                    Vacation?
I tend to go for private accommodation which switches between condos and houses.
For holidays I always hit boutique hostels

hotels, then a guest house, then a private rental.
my decision calculus is simple: cost, location, ease of ingress/egress. if a hotel and flight deal is lowest, then i do that. when we visit spain we stay in a guest house: easy to get to, nice owners/staff. never done an airbnb or other private rental.
do you know of any NON airbnb sites? i know the booking.com etc have filter settings to include houses, but if it's cheaper to deal direct, **** expedia etal

I usually do VRBO, and never had a problem. Or go with private recommendations. I just don’t like the hotel experience.

Hotels. Airbnb hosts are parasites who steal housing from real people that could be living there. They should all be killed, except for the ones who actually live in them and just rent out individual rooms.

I don’t use Airbnb. I don’t like how they operate. I either use reputable people who own and live part time in their homes, or through private referrals.

Home or cabin when traveling with significant other. I can do a hotel/motel for 1 night, but for longer I've come to the realization that I prefer a bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen or kitchenette to feel comfortable.
If i was traveling alone it wouldn't matter as long as it has a fridge and microwave.

We recently stayed in a nice hotel for 2 days that had a separate sleeping suite, sitting area with a sofa and chair, and a fully stocked (dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc.), kitchen with a stove, microwave and refrigerator. It wasn’t a chain extended stay (I really hate those), really a nice place. But 2 days was all I could take. I like the privacy of a single-family, free- standing home.

Yes I agree 2 days max. I'm not a good traveler in general. I prefer the comfort of my home with everything in it lol. I do like to see new places and sights, though.
That sounds like a nice hotel.
