For instance, if you spray mosquito repellent, and a big hornet is flying nearby and breathes it in. Perhaps they develop respiratory problems from that.

The thing is respiratory problems do not always mean cancer
However every living thing can have mutations within its cells and occasionally that leads to cancer.
It's almost inevitable if something lives long enough
