Now how do we turn ourselves into nothing and take a hitchhike.

You can't. Information cannot travel faster than the speed of light according to Kirk.

It could be 7 years or 7 billion light-years away. Do u know how far that is?

I hear ya, but you can't actually send information using quantum entanglement, so there can be no faster than light communication. I don't know why, but that's just how it is.

There is quite a few time paradoxes created with light speed communications.

Never mind warp speed, can you imagine the amount of data needed and the speed of the computer to make millisecond adjustments to course.

                        Not exactly.
We don't know what is going on with quantum entanglement, ultimately, but so far it technically doesn't seem to actually violate the light speed barrier. Once you get into the details of what we can actually physically measure, nothing is moving faster than the speed of light.
