    Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH. Black.
This lens is impressive but the price is a little high. Light refraction ratio is what's most important for the projects I want to do. I wonder if anyone here is tech knowledgeable to offer a better value?
    Out-performs the human eye
The extremely shallow depth of field at open aperture produces portraits and detailed studies of unequalled aesthetic effect. The result is outstanding image quality, comparable to the Leica Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 ASPH., which is considered the best standard lens ever produced. Even the light from one candle can be sufficient for handheld photography.
    Technical details
As the world's highest-speed aspherical lens, the Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH. exceeds the perception of the human eye. State-of-the-art optics and mechanical technologies have created a noticeable increase in lens speed, and a floating element retains high image quality even in the close-up range. Vignetting and distortion are even better than former Noctilux generations.
Painting with light - even in darkness
With resolving powers that exceed those of the human eye, the Leica Noctilux-M stands alone as the world’s fastest aspherical lens for 35 mm photography. At maximum aperture, the extremely shallow depth of field enables exposures of unrivaled aesthetic quality with a unique bokeh. This exclusive special edition, limited to only 95 lenses, is technically identical to the serial lens and also sets the focus on its exceptional speed in terms of design: the ‘0.95’ engraving stands out in white; all other engravings show themselves discreetly against the black anodized surface. Particularly striking features are the knurling that reflects the iconic design of the “S.T. Dupont for 0.95” pen collection and the distinctively placed glossy elements on the lens body and front cap. This marks the first time that a high-gloss anodized aluminium surface developed my Leica was used as a design element. Each lens of the edition is accompanied by a certificate that emphasizes its uniqueness. A lens that is as unique as the pictures that are taken with it. Order number: 11665
    The essentials:
    Diagonal picture angle: 47 °
Working range: 1 m to infinity
    Biggest scale: 1:17
    Number of lenses/groups: 8/5
    Length * 1: 75.1 mm
    Weight * 1: 700 g
    Lens hood: Pull-out and lockable
