In The Island of Doctor Moreau (1996), there's a scene where Montgomery is dressed as Dr. Moreau, speaking into a microphone and imitating his speech. It sounds remarkably like Marlon Brando's inflection as Moreau. Does anyone know if Brando was dubbed over the microphone in this scene, or if it's actually Val Kilmer? I know Kilmer has done some good impressions in the past (Jim Morrison in The Doors), and he does have a Brando impression (as heard in Twixt), but as this scene was using an audio enhancing device, I wasn't sure.

I don't know, sorry; but from his impression in Twixt it wouldn't surprise me!

The trivia section for the movie has this:
Val Kilmer felt obligated to ask Marlon Brando's permission to "impersonate" him for the scenes where Montgomery imitates Moreau.
That seems to imply it was Kilmer impersonating Brando.
        "Me fail English? That's unpossible."
