Do you think Instagram will be displaced by a more popular social media site?

— 7 years ago(February 07, 2019 08:15 PM)Remember when everyone was obsessed with Facebook? Facebook bought Insta but people gravitated toward Insta and gradually left Facebook behind. Now Facebook is looked at as outdated like MySpace.
So my question is do you think somebody will invent a site to eclipse Instagram? The way I see it it won’t happen for awhile because people are too invested in how many followers they have.

I don't know, I don't really use either. What is there to do all day on Instagram? I believe Facebook's numbers are for the website itself and does not include their other properties. Their biggest growth is in the Asian market according to their latest financial report. The penetration for both of these networks is so large, that I doubt anything could replace them. If you switched networks to a smaller service, you would only be hurting your reach.

Eventually we will have Insta-engram where images are sent directly to the brain. Whether we can choose the selection depends on the future dystopia or absence of it.

Whoever invents insta-engram will be able to rule the world. I envision more brain bombardment than just images, although that's a place to start.

Привет! Пока всё нормально, но как заметил раньше в другой нитке, служба погоды сообщила что к нам в Сиэтлском районе приближается снежная буря - должна ударить завтра. Ожидается сильный снегопад, может длиться целую неделю. Будет хреново, чувак, хреново!

Facebook is more personal. Very few have a public FB. With instagram and Twitter, it's usually public, and you're speaking to the world. That's what makes it so in. Getting your pics liked by random people all over the world.
