Released in 2023, Cobweb starred Woody Norman, Cleopatra Coleman, Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr.
Notman plays young boy Peter, Coleman plays Miss Devine, Peter's substitute teacher and Caplan and Starr played Peter's parents (their names are never revealed)
Cobweb is a horror film and while it is not a spectacularly good it is not a bad way to pass the time.
Peter makes for a sympathetic protagonist especially with his parents being hardly the friendly types.
The development of this storytelling was slow in coming but an ending that I didn't gel with.

My thoughts: Some effective creepy moments, but acting isn't great and the story has some flaws. Ending is unsatisfactory and feels too abrupt. 6/10

Liked this one a lot. Totally dug the creepy ooga-booga gloom-doom mood and the monster was genuinely frightening. Woody Norman gave an excellent performance as a sensitive and tormented kid. 8 out of 10 from me.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.
