I bet the crowds outside the army bases would have been 5-10 thousand x or more.
And there would have been traffic jams so big with clogged highways and roads everywhere that would have been impossible to get through on a truck.
You could try a motorcycle or even a bicycle but there is the risk of someone clotheslining you to steal it.
Better get a four wheel drive to be on the grass and dirt of the meridian.
