DC Studios' James Gunn is rejoicing due to the positive fan response after the trailer for Superman, which is now sitting at around 250 million views across all platforms. The trailer showcases David Corenswet as Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific. More importantly, it featured the live-action film debut of Krypto the Superdog, a beloved-yet-strange character.
In response to the overwhelming support the trailer received, Gunn posted to Threads, writing "Krypto really did take us home: With over 250 million views and a million social posts, Superman is officially the most viewed and the most talked about trailer in the history of both DC and Warner Bros." He then added that the trailer's success is "because of all of" the fans and thanked audiences for their response to the trailer. Speaking for DC Studios, Gun finished his post with "We’re incredibly grateful and, most of all, excited to share this movie with you in July." -

Seriously though, each to their own. My thoughts? Superman isn't a Marvel character, but this movie is clearly trying to adopt that aesthetic and, worse still, the frantic pacing of their high grossing ensemble movies. It doesn't look like this will take the time to introduce him properly before all hell breaks loose.

Yeah, Superman is such an unknown character that audiences will definitely need a lot of time spent on introducing him. We need at least an hour on Krypton and the Kent farm or the general public will feel completely lost.
