Yeah, it kind of does. I first noticed Charles Dance from Underworld before I'd ever seen Game of Thrones. Then I watched game of thrones later and was surprised he played a major character in the series.

I also really like the speech Enoch Powell did IRL where he prophesied that immigration would ruin Britain. The man was a genius.
