Would have been cool if Eleven was Hopper's daughter

Would have really brought the sub plots full circle like the whole time he thinks his daughter is dead but really it was because she was abducted and her death was faked so she could be tested on.

What I thought was that they should have left the whole of the Sheriff Hopper's daughter dying sub-plot out altogether and just had him as this womanizing guy who liked to party. Then he would have found out that Eleven was actually his daughter from a fling he had with Eleven's mother.
The Players of The Game are the scum of the earth. -

I thought so too - although, I did cry a little during his flash backs.
I loved the show but, I guess because the kids were the stars I kept thinking that it would end all rosey. I figured they would bring Eleven back to her mom and Hopper and the Will's mom would get together. . oh well, LOL. -

It's possible I suppose. Hopper is clearly well traveled, so to speak. I think we're going to find out that
Jonathan
is his son though. He and Joyce were high school sweethearts and Jonathan is about the right age for Hopper to have fathered him shortly before leaving town (an interesting story there I'm sure). We'll probably see Eleven reunite with her mother in Season 2 as well. Maybe she'll be able to reach her, and bring her out of that catatonic state. They've said there are going to be new characters in the second season. While Terry Ives isn't completely new, her active presence as a series regular would be. -

When was that ever established? Only thing I remember even close was someone speculated that they'd once had a one night stand, like he did with the librarian.

Yes, that all would satisfy me! My daughter was laughing at me today because I watch a ton of creepy stuff and I never expect it to "story book" end For me, this had such a Goonies feeling to it that I expected it. -

There was an interview with David Harbour (Jim Hopper) in which he revealed that information, when asked about Joyce and Hopper's past. It's strongly implied in the show that they had
some
kind of history with each other, but not specifically what or when. Apparently we'll see more about it in Season 2. But I guess they dated throughout high school, everyone assumed they would get married, then something happened and drove them apart.
