Differences between German and International versions?

According to Wikipedia, the introductory sequence for the German broadcast is "markedly different" from the North American and UK broadcasts. (German version uses New Order's "Blue Monday", US/UK version, and the version we see here in Norway, uses Peter Schilling's "Major Tom (Coming Home)".)
This makes me wonder, are there more differences? -

I don't think it's as good. Blue Monday is the better song but it is just the music. It needed SOME lyrics
