I am so sorry, I assumed you watched it already!
But don't think about that part yet, because nothing bad happens to him. Trust me just watch. (As you know the story of the Bible, I meant nothing happens to him "during that scene") -

History loses Pilate after he returned to Rome to answer for his slaughter of the Samaritans on a pilgrimage in Judea. He was to stand trial before Tiberius, but by the time he reached Rome, Tiberius was dead.
The three Pilate legends:
a) He went mad and killed himself
b) He converted, was exiled from Rome, and began a church in an Italian province
c) He converted, was exiled from Rome, and began a church in Gaul (now France)
The odds of THIS Pilate converting are slim. They've written him as such a psychopath that it would be difficult for him to convert, much in the same way it would be nearly impossible without a miraculous event to convert Caiaphas much more so than Cornelius, who had a merciful heart to begin with. Still, I'd love the chance to see that happen if they decide to go that route.
It's more likely, however, if they choose to continue with another season, that he will remain their stereotypical villain. I actually think they've gone overboard with Pilate. The real one was brutal, but not THIS brutal. (Crucifying women? Really? No, that's a step too far even for a mustache-twirling Roman caricature like this Pilate.)
They should have made him more nuanced. -

HaHaHa
VERY Good post
I just read online that there IS A SEASON 2!!!
(but I cant swear its true or not just yet)
Especially, (and this blows my mind) that the Ratings were ABYSMAL for the past several episodes. And the worst TV Rating for the Entire Season was Last Nights Finale?!?!
That's what an article said.
So with all of that said, I hope they are even able to make a Season #2. -
