Neither both are fabricated with very little truth.
They raped Acts by adding shat that never happened

Haven't seen the original. I guess you can't buy the full length version anymore, and I have no interest in the truncated version. So this one.

The 1985 one seems to have the better cast. John Houseman as Gamaliel? I've got to watch that.

                  Definately 1985!
1985 was more straight forward telling the story of the first followers of Christ and the disturbing times under four Roman emperors.
The series starts in Jerusalem after the cruicifiction of Christ and culminates with the deaths of Paul, Peter and hundreds of innocent christians in Rome under Neros reign. It felt much more true to the Book of Acts and the show moved faster with the main plot than in the new one. The show also had a fascinating side story following the lives and drama of a jewish brother and sister who get separated from their family and each other in Jerusalem during those troubled times. We follow their different journeys for three decades and how their lives are influenced during the reign of first Tiberius, then Caligula, Claudius and Nero. In the new version I dont get the feeling I am watching a show depicting the apostles.
Feels like I am watching Rome - The Jerusalem Version without the nude scenes!
But I like the casting of Peter and Paul. Brilliant actors!

Neither, because the "bible" is just a book of fairy tales, taken from other fairy tales!
If you want 'more accurate', then look to science, not some fairy tale about a magical sky fairy that doesn't exist!
