    The scene where Sook-hee started to destroy books was exhilarating. I'm a huge bookworm and I usually hate when someone mistreats the books, even in the movie I lose some respect towards the character, but not this time. It was such a pleasure to see this slow destruction of something so great. Amazing scene in overall amazing film.

          I know what you mean. Although I realized it was a fake the second time they showed it, during the flashbacks of Lady Hideko's childhood because of it being arched in the exact position.

            Funny, I thought the exact opposite. Seeing books being destroyed was more unpleasant to me than seeing fingers being chopped off.

              I cried in this scene. I imagine Sook-hee felt what anyone would feel if they encountered their partner's rapist.
