I thought this was hilarious. It's so obvious with them finishing up each others sentences.
So so obvious throughout this episode they are going to be dating.- Alex gets wet everytime she calls maggie.
- Holding hands for far too long at the Fight Club.
- Alex felling sad because she won't be going to Alex's happy place that night.
Come on writers, try not to make it so obvious LOL.

to be fair, Maggie Sawyers is an actual dc comic character created by writer John Byrne for 30 years thats been openly gay (but was married to a male fellow cop who she had a kid with who later divorced her once Lex Luthor outed her as gay. She also dated Batwoman), while Alex Danvers is a new character specifically for the show.
But yeah writer Berlanti is all about 'adapting the comic book lore to represent the world we live in now so that everyone is represented' or whatever
