apart from PSYCHO, which are his best books? would you recommend his short story collections? H.P.LOVECRAFT was his mentor and even the great MICHEL HOUELLLEBECQ had nice things to say about BLOCH. i have not read anything by him so far.

Many years ago I found a copy of
The Scarf
(1966) on top of a wardrobe in a bedsit I was renting. The only other Bloch I've read are the short stories
The Hell-Bound Train
(in
The Hugo Winners
(1962) Edited by Isaac Asimov) and
A Toy for Juliette
(in
Dangerous Visions
(1967) Edited by Harlan Ellison). I enjoyed them all.
