I just finished Season 2, which ended strongly. The middle episodes are a mixed bag, but not bad overall. So I'm not really saying that I watched the first 2 seasons for Alicia Debnam Carrey, but her presence didn't hurt.

Yeah but if the show sucks, I won't keep watching. I watched Always Sunny because of Daanny deVito in the ads. They made a good choice adding him because I wasn't aware of the show in the first season.
